Story of Sanne

What to do with a column radiator?

Is it possible to cover other types of radiators aside the standard flat radiator? The answer is: Yes, we can. Also the so-called column radiator. These radiators can be recognized by the separate 'columns' with which the radiator is composed. They are often found in the somewhat older homes.

Sanne has her own website on which she writes blogs about her love for interior and how that manifests itself in her own home.

For Sentimo she tested our radiator covers. In her stylish living room there has been a large column radiator since the 1970s, which she liked to give a different look. Her radiator of 2.42m long was a thorn in the eye for her. For a long time Sanne has been looking for a solution for this radiator. There are many options. Through social media she ended up at Sentimo and started to discover the possibilities.

Like many interior lovers, Sanne also suffers from so-called change of change. It was therefore important that the cover would fit well with her interior, but could also be used for a while in terms of colour.

Sanne chose the colour 'Ecru' (Note: The colour 'Ecru' has been replaced by the colour RAL9002 on our webshop). A warm white shade that matches the colours that Sanne has applied in her home, but a colour that also adapts well when the colour of the interior is adjusted.

When you place a Sentimo on a column radiator, you will receive an extra assembly kit with so-called 'column plates'. By attaching these plates to the columns, you create support for the magnets with which the cover stays firmly on the radiator. The radiator cover that we made for Sanne is no less than 2.45m long, making it easier to mount it with two people. Within fifteen minutes the Sentimo cover was assembled on radiator and see look at result! It immediately looks much calmer and the slats on the windows come out much better.
